Research assistant wanted for a 17 months contract starting January 2019 in the “Chromatin and DNA Replication” group (group leader: Marta Radman-Livaja) Project description (ERC funded project NChIP):
The dynamics of chromatin structure reestablishment after DNA replication.
The goal is to establish genome wide maps of the kinetics of chromatin structure restoration after the disruptions caused by genome replication. We use budding yeast as a model organism and we have developed genomic techniques based on ChIP-seq to elucidate the role of chromatin in the transmission of epigenetic information. The research assistant will participate in all current subprojects and provide technical support to finalize the NChIP project, as well as participate in the management of the group (ordering and inventory and equipment management). Required experience: yeast genetics and cloning techniques and molecular biology techniques (western, PCR, IP, ChIP, DNA/RNA extraction, NGS library construction a plus), good english communication skills.
