Mounia Lagha, head of the ‘Transcription and Development’ team (laghalab), is seeking a post-doc with a strong interest in quantitative developmental biology to lead a project on gene regulation during Drosophi-la development.
The candidate will decipher the impact of enhancer/promoter sequences on transcriptional dynamics (e.g transcriptional bursting and mitotic memory) during early embryogenesis. This project requires a variety of approaches ranging from live imaging of transcription, quantitative image analysis to biochemical assays.
Prior experience in imaging, Drosophila genetics, molecular biology and/or image analysis are extremely valuable, but not mandatory. The ideal candidate should feel comfortable working in an interdisciplinary and international environment.
The successful candidate will take a strong lead in the experimental design, and collaborate with other team members. The candidate is expected to communicate the scientific results by writing up scientific reports and attending scientific meetings.
3 year ERC-funded position.
If you are interested, please contact Mounia Lagha (firstname.lastname@example.org) with a brief statement of your research interests, your CV and up to 3 recommendation contacts.
