Associate Professor of Genetics and Epigenetics at the University of Montpellier

The recruited assistant professor will join the Biology/Life Science Department of the University of Montpellier (Bio-MV). He/she will consolidate a team of 2 professors and 1 lecturer to coordinate the teaching of genetics and epigenetics at the undergraduate level (bachelor and master students).
The recruited person will also be involved in teaching three main practical courses entitled ‘Genetics’, ‘Functional Genetics’ and ‘Genetics and Epigenetics’ to bachelor students.
In addition, the assistant professor will strengthen the research activities of 4 potential host labs, including the team of Dr.M.Lagha located at the Institut de Genetique Moleculaire de Montpellier (IGMM, UMR5535). His/Her research project must be in line with the team's theme focusing on
unraveling the mechanisms regulating gene expression during development. Prior knowledge with Drosophila genetics and/or quantitative imaging are a plus but not mandatory.
