Des travaux de l\u2019\u00e9quipe Schwob \u00e0 l\u2019IGMM (Talarek et al., eLife 2017) montrent que cette transition chez la levure est aussi contr\u00f4l\u00e9e au niveau de la phosphatase PP2A agissant sur Whi5 dans le sens oppos\u00e9 des CDK, mais seulement dans certaines conditions. En absence de glucose, quand les cyclines de G1 sont peu exprim\u00e9es, la kinase Rim15 est activ\u00e9e pour inhiber PP2A et favoriser la phosphorylation de Whi5 et la transition G1\/S. La surexpression de Rim15 pr\u00e9cipite cette transition et provoque de l\u2019instabilit\u00e9 chromosomique.
