OPENING FOR A GROUP LEADER IN BIOLOGY & GENETICS

The Institut de Génétique Moléculaire de Montpellier (IGMM) a CNRS/University of Montpellier centre for basic research has an opening for an established group leader.
IGMM currently hosts 16 teams working on RNA biogenesis, epigenetic regulation, chromatin biology, metabolism, cell cycle, cancer, cell death, gene expression, gene therapy, virology, and immune cell biology (see www.igmm.cnrs.fr). The institute is located on a dynamic campus with 800 life scientists, including 300 in ecology, and 700 in chemistry.
Candidates must have a solid track record in publication and funding, and a permanent position at CNRS/INSERM/University of Montpellier. Scientists developing new concepts, innovative methodologies or highrisk projects with strong potential are encouraged to apply. Ideally, the project should fit within the global themes of IGMM and address a fundamental biological question and/or be positioned at the interface of biology, chemistry, bioinformatics, and
medicine. The ability to interact or collaborate with IGMM, CRBM or IRIM teams will be an asset. If appropriate, IGMM will provide a financial startup package including access to stateofthe art technological facilities available on campus. Apply if you are looking for a place where basic science, biomedicine, interdisciplinarity and collegiality are fostered.
IGMM has excellent inhouse facilities, easy access to 18 stateoftheart platforms (http://biocampus.cnrs.fr), and encourages collaborations with its neighbouring institutes in chemistry (IBMM, ICCG ), cell biology (CRBM ), infectious diseases (IRIM ) and hospital centres.
Montpellier is a dynamic Mediterranean city with an exceptional environment, culture and quality of life. It is home to numerous highquality research institutes, a vibrant 70,000 student population and one of the world’s oldest medical schools (see https://www.montpellierfrance.com/).
