Oncogenic activities of the FGF19 hormone and its analog Aldafermin

In a new publication of the “Tumor heterogeneity in liver cancer” subgroup (D. Gregoire), Ursic-Bedoya, Desandré et al. report a strong oncogenic cooperation between MYC and FGF19 in hepatic carcinogenesis. In addition, they show that a clinically-tested FGF19 analog, Aldafermin (NGM282), retains oncogenic activity.
